Volunteers are the lifeblood of grassroots sports. Northland FC are extremely grateful and appreciative of the time given by our volunteers. Our volunteer group is mainly made up of parents, but we have plenty of passionate members who stick their hand up and get involved. From group communications or squad logistics through to collecting the kit or running the line as an Assistant Referee (AR), or even refereeing a game, volunteers fulfil diverse roles at our club but in the main they all allow our professional coaching staff focus on the football. Key volunteer roles include:
- Squad Manager: Logistics based, assisting the head coach with the day to day running of a Northland FC squad.
- Match Official: Northland FC will support any club volunteer who wishes to obtain refereeing qualifications.
- Driver: A crucial role as you are responsible for safe travel of our players to training and games, often over hundreds of kilometres.
- Hospitality and After-Match: Our bar at Trigg Sports Arena alongside many matchday roles at the ground are filled by volunteers. Our parents of youth team players never fail to provide an amazing spread for visiting teams in the lounge afterwards!
